湖北理工学院日常管理一些事务上属于黄石市经济技术开发区，但在承认的行政区划上属于下陆区。

原因是：黄石市合并团城山开发区和花湖开发区申报成立黄石市经济技术开发区，湖北省 批准了，上报未获批准，所以在行政区划上不予承认，而黄石市下辖黄石港区、西塞山区、下陆区、铁山区、阳新县，代管大冶市，所以在湖北省，包括黄石市人都称经济技术开发区，一但涉及层面上的行政区划，就只能称属于下陆区了。比如邮政收寄系统里黄石只有四区一县一市了，是没有经济技术开发区的。

说实话，英语专业又不怎么样。专业老师本来实力就不怎么样，但是教学课程却比自己实力和学生的实力难度大，上一些没有什么实用性的课程，本人觉得没什么用。不过另一方面，你要是是一个自学能力很强很有上进心的同学，自己学习还是可以学到很多东西的，硬件设施个人觉得还是蛮好的。如果已经被录取的同学，也就只好接受了。有能力的争取在学院混一个学生会职位，对你有好处的。

作为一个湖北理工刚刚毕业的人，也算是湖北理工的届毕业生（因为学校是11年底改名的），觉得学校还是可以的。当然可能有一定的自己的母校情结在里面，这个无可厚非！但是我个人觉得吧！再好的大学也有颓废的学生，不是很好的大学也有精英。我们选择学校必然有客观的因数在里面，如果你有一本的分数当然可以选择更好的学校！如果在二本里面的话！相对还是可以的！湖北理工在硬件设施还是很不错的！不过学习靠自己！自己在大学一定要培养自己的兴趣，想在大学自己专业方面能够学到一些东西的话，首先你要对他有一定的兴趣！至于老师，学校有些老师对学生还是很好的！当然也有些老师不怎么负？但是光靠老师教你学习肯定不行，要自己肯学，愿意去学！

不管选择什么学校？什么专业？我觉得要想在大学有所建树，有所成长的话，要靠自己！当然要把握机会！比如学校有那么好的设备，条件，如果你不去使用的话！那再好的条件对你也没有！所以一切要靠自己把握！祝好运！

本人湖北理工学院，觉得作为二本来说其实还是很不错的。学校大，环境好。而且像黄石这种小地方，出行什么的很方便也很舒服（反正比武汉交通好很多很多很多很多）。说我们学校好不好具体看你想报什么了，这里确实有很多跟风设立、师资不怎么滴的专业，你可以到湖北理工学院贴吧去看看，近好多孩子想来，学长学姐们给每个学院开了专贴回答问题的。

所谓的排名真的不好讲，洛阳理工是外省的，洛阳古城听起来就比我们黄石好玩一点（确实好玩一点的说），，，如果想了解一所学校还是去了解你真正对大学向往的地方吧，比如图书馆，男女比例，食堂，宿舍，什么的，再看看学校的风气和学长学姐对学校的看法。
